Benefits and applications
This KINGS TIRE tyre with tube is ideal for smaller tractors, lawn tractors and agricultural implements where reliability and gentle ground contact are required. The V-8501 tread provides good grip on grass, soil and loose surfaces without excessively damaging the ground.
Thanks to its 4PR construction, the tyre offers a stable load capacity of up to 280 kg per wheel at a recommended tyre pressure of 1.9 bar. This makes it ideal for typical tasks in landscaping, agriculture and municipal applications with low driving speeds up to 20 km/h (SI A4).
The supplied tube with TR13 valve makes mounting on 8-inch rims easier and ensures a secure, airtight fit. The TT design (Tube Type) makes the tyre particularly service-friendly, as tube changes and repairs can be carried out easily.
Explanation of technical terms
- TT (Tube Type): Tyre construction with a separate tube inside the tyre. The air pressure is contained in the tube.
- PR (Ply Rating): Indicates the load capacity class of the tyre. 4PR stands for a light to medium carcass strength.
- LI (Load Index): Code number for the maximum permissible load capacity of the tyre. LI 64 corresponds here to 280 kg.
- SI (Speed Index): Letter code for the maximum permissible speed. A4 stands for up to 20 km/h.
- Valve type TR13: Straight valve design, common standard for many tubes in small and industrial tyres.
- Rim size (inch): Indicates the rim diameter on which the tyre is mounted – here 8 inch.
Frequently asked questions about this product
Age: Trailer tyres age more as a result of being left stationary than from the number of kilometres travelled. It is advisable to replace them after around six years, even if the tread is still in good condition; for trailers approved for 100 km/h, this is mandatory. The date of manufacture is shown as a DOT number on the sidewall: 3223 means the 32nd calendar week of 2023.
Load capacity (Load Index, LI): The number before the letter indicates the load capacity per tyre. The fitted tyre must meet at least the value stated in the vehicle documents — a higher value is permitted, but a lower one is not.

Winter tyres: There is no requirement for winter tyres on trailers, as the wheels are not driven. An M+S or Alpine symbol is not required.
Tyre pressure: Trailer tyres require significantly higher pressure than car tyres. The correct pressure is specified in the vehicle documents or on the sticker on the trailer. Insufficient pressure is the most common cause of tyre damage.
Tread depth: the legal minimum is 1.6 mm. You can also recognise old tyres by fine cracks in the sidewall and tread base.
Replacement: Tyres and complete wheels.
