Benefits and application
The KINGS TIRE V-8501 is characterised by its robust 6PR carcass, which allows a high load capacity of up to 349 kg. This makes the tyre particularly suitable for tractors and attachments in professional and semi-professional use, for example in landscaping, agriculture or on larger green areas.
The V-8501 tread pattern provides good traction on grass, soil and light off-road terrain without excessively damaging the surface. The TL (tubeless) tyre type enables tubeless operation, which can reduce maintenance effort and lower the risk of punctures. With a speed index of A4 and a maximum speed of 20 km/h, the tyre is optimally designed for low to medium operating speeds of tractors and work machines.
Explanation of technical terms
- TL (Tubeless): Tubeless tyre that is mounted directly on the rim without a separate inner tube.
- TT (Tube Type): Designates tyres that are used with a separate inner tube (mentioned here for distinction only, this tyre is TL).
- PR (Ply Rating): Indicates the load capacity class of the carcass. A higher PR value (here 6PR) stands for a more robust, more load-resistant tyre structure.
- SI (Speed Index): Indicates the maximum permissible speed of the tyre. A4 here corresponds to a maximum speed of 20 km/h.
- Load capacity: Maximum load that a tyre may carry at the correct air pressure and within the specified speed index (here 349 kg).
- Tyre pressure: Recommended maximum air pressure in the tyre (here 3.0 bar) for optimum load capacity and service life.
Frequently asked questions about this product
Age: Trailer tyres age more as a result of being left stationary than from the number of kilometres travelled. It is advisable to replace them after around six years, even if the tread is still in good condition; for trailers approved for 100 km/h, this is mandatory. The date of manufacture is shown as a DOT number on the sidewall: 3223 means the 32nd calendar week of 2023.
Load capacity (Load Index, LI): The number before the letter indicates the load capacity per tyre. The fitted tyre must meet at least the value stated in the vehicle documents — a higher value is permitted, but a lower one is not.

Speed index: The letter following the load index indicates the maximum permitted speed. An ‘L’ is required for a 100 km/h rating.

Winter tyres: There is no requirement for winter tyres on trailers, as the wheels are not driven. An M+S or Alpine symbol is not required.
Tyre pressure: Trailer tyres require significantly higher pressure than car tyres. The correct pressure is specified in the vehicle documents or on the sticker on the trailer. Insufficient pressure is the most common cause of tyre damage.
Tread depth: the legal minimum is 1.6 mm. You can also recognise old tyres by fine cracks in the sidewall and tread base.
Replacement: Tyres and complete wheels.
