Benefits and applications
This KINGS TIRE tyre with tube is a robust solution for wheelbarrows in commercial and private use. The 4PR construction offers a good combination of stability and flexibility, so the tyre remains dimensionally stable even under load. With a load capacity of 212 kg and a maximum speed of 15 km/h, it is ideal for transport tasks on construction sites, in workshops, in agriculture and for demanding gardening work.
The V-5501 tread pattern ensures reliable traction on different surfaces and supports safe manoeuvring, even on uneven ground. Thanks to the supplied tube with TR13 valve, mounting on the 6-inch rim is straightforward, and the recommended tyre pressure of 3.0 bar provides a balanced ratio between ride comfort and durability.
Explanation of technical terms
- TT (Tube Type): Tyre construction with a separate inner tube inside the tyre.
- PR (Ply Rating): Indicator of the load capacity class of the carcass; higher values stand for more robust tyres.
- LI (Load Index): Numerical code indicating the maximum permissible load capacity of the tyre (LI 54 = 212 kg).
- SI (Speed Index): Letter code for the maximum permissible driving speed; A3 corresponds to 15 km/h.
- Valve type TR13: Common rubber valve for tube-type tyres, suitable for many narrow rim holes.
Frequently asked questions about this product
Age: Trailer tyres age more as a result of being left stationary than from the number of kilometres travelled. It is advisable to replace them after around six years, even if the tread is still in good condition; for trailers approved for 100 km/h, this is mandatory. The date of manufacture is shown as a DOT number on the sidewall: 3223 means the 32nd calendar week of 2023.
Load capacity (Load Index, LI): The number before the letter indicates the load capacity per tyre. The fitted tyre must meet at least the value stated in the vehicle documents — a higher value is permitted, but a lower one is not.

Speed index: The letter following the load index indicates the maximum permitted speed. An ‘L’ is required for a 100 km/h rating.

Winter tyres: There is no requirement for winter tyres on trailers, as the wheels are not driven. An M+S or Alpine symbol is not required.
Tyre pressure: Trailer tyres require significantly higher pressure than car tyres. The correct pressure is specified in the vehicle documents or on the sticker on the trailer. Insufficient pressure is the most common cause of tyre damage.
Tread depth: the legal minimum is 1.6 mm. You can also recognise old tyres by fine cracks in the sidewall and tread base.
Replacement: Tyres and complete wheels.
