Benefits and applications
This KINGS TIRE tyre + tube in size 3.00-4 is ideal for sack trucks, platform trolleys and similar equipment in light industry as well as in commercial and private use. The 4PR construction ensures a robust and durable carcass that can carry up to 70 kg per wheel. The V-5501 tread pattern provides good grip on typical surfaces such as concrete, asphalt or paving, while the pneumatic tyre effectively absorbs shocks and unevenness.
Thanks to the TT tyre type with separate tube, replacement or repair in the event of damage is straightforward. The DIN7777 90/90 valve type is widely used on sack trucks and transport equipment and makes topping up air easier. With a maximum speed of 16 km/h, the tyre is optimally suited for hand-guided transport equipment and low-speed material handling applications.
Explanation of technical terms
- TT (Tube Type): Tyre construction with a separate inner tube inside the tyre. In contrast, TL (Tubeless) does not use a separate tube.
- PR (Ply Rating): Indicates the load capacity class of the carcass. A higher PR value (e.g. 4PR) stands for a more robust, higher-load tyre structure.
- Rim size (inch): Denotes the nominal rim diameter in inches on which the tyre is mounted.
- Load capacity: Maximum load that the tyre can safely carry at the specified pressure.
- Max. speed: Maximum permissible operating speed at which the tyre may be used safely.
- Tyre pressure (bar): Recommended air pressure in the tyre/tube, important for load capacity, ride comfort and service life.
Frequently asked questions about this product
Age: Trailer tyres age more as a result of being left stationary than from the number of kilometres travelled. It is advisable to replace them after around six years, even if the tread is still in good condition; for trailers approved for 100 km/h, this is mandatory. The date of manufacture is shown as a DOT number on the sidewall: 3223 means the 32nd calendar week of 2023.
Load capacity (Load Index, LI): The number before the letter indicates the load capacity per tyre. The fitted tyre must meet at least the value stated in the vehicle documents — a higher value is permitted, but a lower one is not.

Speed index: The letter following the load index indicates the maximum permitted speed. An ‘L’ is required for a 100 km/h rating.

Winter tyres: There is no requirement for winter tyres on trailers, as the wheels are not driven. An M+S or Alpine symbol is not required.
Tyre pressure: Trailer tyres require significantly higher pressure than car tyres. The correct pressure is specified in the vehicle documents or on the sticker on the trailer. Insufficient pressure is the most common cause of tyre damage.
Tread depth: the legal minimum is 1.6 mm. You can also recognise old tyres by fine cracks in the sidewall and tread base.
Replacement: Tyres and complete wheels.
