The unbraked Alko running axle type UBR 700-5 in the ‘Basic’ version is designed for a maximum axle load of 750 kg and is suitable for various trailer designs. The maintenance-free rubber spring axle with hexagonal rubber suspension offers long-lasting suspension without additional maintenance.
The axle tube, with a diameter of 71 mm, is made of hot-dip galvanised steel and ensures reliable protection against corrosion. The compact bearings contribute to the high mileage and load capacity of the axle. The wheel connection is 4 x 100 mm; eight matching cone collar wheel bolts are included in the scope of delivery.
The support dimension (A) is 1300 mm, the contact dimension (C) is 1730 mm. The trestle height (H), measured from the centre of the axle tube to the upper edge of the trestle, is 140 mm. The screw hole spacing is 160 mm. Rims with an offset of 27 to 45 mm and a minimum centre hole diameter of 57 mm are required for use. The axle is approved for a maximum speed of up to 140 km/h, although the legal limit in the UK is 100 km/h. It cannot be used with 8-inch wheels.
