The KINGS TIRE 4.00-7 V-8818 4PR TT tyre is a robust special tyre for tractors and equipment used in agricultural and horticultural applications. Thanks to its compact size and the profiled V-8818 tread pattern, it is ideal for small tractors, walk-behind tractors, rotary tillers or other work equipment that depend on reliable traction at low speeds. The tyre is designed for tube type use and offers a well-balanced combination of load capacity, stability and ride comfort.

Benefits and application
The KINGS TIRE 4.00-7 V-8818 4PR TT has been specially developed for use in agriculture and horticulture. The V-8818 tread pattern provides good grip on soft surfaces such as soil, grass or loose ground, thus supporting safe power transmission when working at low speeds.
With its load capacity of 150 kg and a recommended tyre pressure of 2.5 bar, the tyre is ideal for light tractors, compact tractors, single-axle tractors and similar machines where reliability and stability are paramount. The 4PR carcass offers solid resistance to loads in daily work use without unnecessarily stiffening the tyre.
Due to the low maximum speed of 15 km/h, this tyre is optimally designed for work travel and manoeuvring on the farm, in the field or in the garden, but not for fast road traffic.
Explanation of technical terms
- TT (Tube Type): Indicates a tyre that may only be used in combination with a separate inner tube.
- PR (Ply Rating): Ply Rating indicates the load capacity class of the tyre carcass. A higher number (e.g. 4PR) stands for a more robust carcass and higher load capacity.
- Tyre pressure (bar): The recommended inflation pressure of the tyre. Correctly adjusted pressure is important for load capacity, wear and driving stability.
- Max. speed: The permissible maximum speed at which the tyre may be used in order to ensure safety and service life.
- Tyre size (e.g. 4.00-7): Indicates the width and rim diameter of the tyre. The first number (4.00) describes the tyre width, the second number (7) the rim diameter in inches.
- Rim size (inch): Unit for rim diameter; 1 inch corresponds to 2.54 cm.
Frequently asked questions about this product
Age: Trailer tyres age more as a result of being left stationary than from the number of kilometres travelled. It is advisable to replace them after around six years, even if the tread is still in good condition; for trailers approved for 100 km/h, this is mandatory. The date of manufacture is shown as a DOT number on the sidewall: 3223 means the 32nd calendar week of 2023.
Load capacity (Load Index, LI): The number before the letter indicates the load capacity per tyre. The fitted tyre must meet at least the value stated in the vehicle documents — a higher value is permitted, but a lower one is not.

Speed index: The letter following the load index indicates the maximum permitted speed. An ‘L’ is required for a 100 km/h rating.

Winter tyres: There is no requirement for winter tyres on trailers, as the wheels are not driven. An M+S or Alpine symbol is not required.
Tyre pressure: Trailer tyres require significantly higher pressure than car tyres. The correct pressure is specified in the vehicle documents or on the sticker on the trailer. Insufficient pressure is the most common cause of tyre damage.
Tread depth: the legal minimum is 1.6 mm. You can also recognise old tyres by fine cracks in the sidewall and tread base.
Replacement: Tyres and complete wheels.
