Benefits and applications
The BKT LG-306 in size 18x8.50-10 has been specially developed for lawn mowers and maintenance machines in garden and park care. The tread offers a balanced combination of ground protection and traction, so that the surface is damaged as little as possible, even during turning manoeuvres. The 4PR construction ensures reliable stability and a load capacity of up to 361 kg, making the tyre suitable for regular use on green areas, sports fields or in parks.
With the speed index A3, the tyre is designed for driving speeds of up to 15 km/h – ideal for typical working speeds of lawn mowers and ride-on mowers. The tubeless design (TL) simplifies mounting and can reduce the risk of sudden air loss compared to tube-type solutions.
Explanation of technical terms
- TL (Tubeless): Tubeless tyre that is mounted directly on the rim without a separate tube.
- TT (Tube Type): Refers to tyres that are used with a separate tube (not applicable to this product, only for distinction).
- PR (Ply Rating): Indicates the load capacity class of the carcass. A higher number (e.g. 4PR) stands for a more robust, higher load-bearing tyre structure.
- SI (Speed Index): Indicates the maximum permissible speed for which the tyre is designed. A3 here corresponds to up to 15 km/h.
- Load capacity: Maximum load that a tyre can safely carry at the correct air pressure and within the specified speed range.
- Rim size: Refers to the rim diameter on which the tyre is mounted (here 10 inch).
Frequently asked questions about this product
Age: Trailer tyres age more as a result of being left stationary than from the number of kilometres travelled. It is advisable to replace them after around six years, even if the tread is still in good condition; for trailers approved for 100 km/h, this is mandatory. The date of manufacture is shown as a DOT number on the sidewall: 3223 means the 32nd calendar week of 2023.
Load capacity (Load Index, LI): The number before the letter indicates the load capacity per tyre. The fitted tyre must meet at least the value stated in the vehicle documents — a higher value is permitted, but a lower one is not.

Speed index: The letter following the load index indicates the maximum permitted speed. An ‘L’ is required for a 100 km/h rating.

Winter tyres: There is no requirement for winter tyres on trailers, as the wheels are not driven. An M+S or Alpine symbol is not required.
Tyre pressure: Trailer tyres require significantly higher pressure than car tyres. The correct pressure is specified in the vehicle documents or on the sticker on the trailer. Insufficient pressure is the most common cause of tyre damage.
Tread depth: the legal minimum is 1.6 mm. You can also recognise old tyres by fine cracks in the sidewall and tread base.
Replacement: Tyres and complete wheels.
