The advantage of the Compact axle over a Basic axle is its longer service life, thanks to features such as a galvanised brake shield and a replaceable axle stub.

The braked Alko trailer axle type B1600-3 is designed for use with single and tandem axle trailers. It offers an axle load of 1500 kg for single-axle vehicles and 3000 kg in tandem operation. The axle belongs to the Compact model series and has a hexagonal rubber suspension, which ensures smooth running and stability.

The support dimension (A) is 1700 mm and the contact dimension (C) is 2150 mm. The axle body has a profile of 97 mm and is hot-dip galvanised, which provides reliable corrosion protection.

The swing lever position is 25° and the swing lever length is 161.5 mm.

The proven Alko wheel brake type 2051 is used for the brake system. The wheel connection corresponds to the 5 x 112 mm bolt circle and the centre hole of the rim must be at least 57 mm.

The axle is equipped with low-maintenance compact bearings. A single-axle abutment for brake cables is already welded on. The brake drums and wheel brakes are already completely pre-assembled, which makes installation easier.
