Benefits and applications
This tyre with tube is designed for typical tractor and implement carrier applications in agriculture and horticulture. The V-8501 tread provides good grip on grass, soil and loose surfaces without excessively damaging the turf. The 4PR construction ensures sufficient stability and puncture resistance for moderate loads up to 160 kg per wheel. The design for a maximum speed of 20 km/h makes it ideal for work in farmyards, fields, golf courses, parks and municipal operations.
The combination of tyre and matching tube with TR13 valve ensures reliable sealing and easy mounting on 8-inch rims. This makes the set particularly suitable for users looking for a durable, robust and economical solution for their tractors, single-axle machines, power equipment or trailers in green area maintenance and agricultural technology.
Explanation of technical terms
- TT (Tube Type): Tube-type tyre that must always be used with a separate inner tube.
- PR (Ply Rating): Ply Rating indicates the load capacity class of the carcass; 4PR stands for a reinforced yet still flexible construction.
- LI (Load Index): Load Index 44 indicates the maximum permissible load capacity of the tyre, here 160 kg.
- SI (Speed Index): A4 designates the maximum permissible speed, here 20 km/h.
- TR13: Designation for a common straight tube valve for smaller rim diameters.
Frequently asked questions about this product
Age: Trailer tyres age more as a result of being left stationary than from the number of kilometres travelled. It is advisable to replace them after around six years, even if the tread is still in good condition; for trailers approved for 100 km/h, this is mandatory. The date of manufacture is shown as a DOT number on the sidewall: 3223 means the 32nd calendar week of 2023.
Load capacity (Load Index, LI): The number before the letter indicates the load capacity per tyre. The fitted tyre must meet at least the value stated in the vehicle documents — a higher value is permitted, but a lower one is not.

Winter tyres: There is no requirement for winter tyres on trailers, as the wheels are not driven. An M+S or Alpine symbol is not required.
Tyre pressure: Trailer tyres require significantly higher pressure than car tyres. The correct pressure is specified in the vehicle documents or on the sticker on the trailer. Insufficient pressure is the most common cause of tyre damage.
Tread depth: the legal minimum is 1.6 mm. You can also recognise old tyres by fine cracks in the sidewall and tread base.
Replacement: Tyres and complete wheels.
