Benefits and applications

The 4PR construction provides increased resistance to punctures and damage, while the C-248 tread pattern ensures good grip on hard surfaces.
With a load capacity of 65 kg per tyre, it is ideal for typical transport tasks with moderate loads. The recommended tyre pressure of 2.5 bar ensures a good balance between ride comfort, stability and wear resistance. With a maximum speed of 16 km/h, the tyre is optimally suited for hand-guided or slow-moving equipment.
Explanation of technical terms
- TT (Tube Type): Tyre construction in which a separate inner tube is used inside the tyre.
- PR (Ply Rating): Ply Rating indicates the load capacity class of the tyre. A higher number (e.g. 4PR) stands for a reinforced carcass and therefore higher load capacity.
- Load index (LI): Code number for the maximum permissible load capacity of a tyre at a specified air pressure. The LI "B" given here refers to the stated load capacity of 65 kg.
- Rim size: Indicates the nominal tyre size in inches, here 3 inch, matching the corresponding rim size.
- Max. speed: The maximum permissible speed at which the tyre may be used at the correct air pressure and load; here 16 km/h.
Frequently asked questions about this product
Age: Trailer tyres age more as a result of being left stationary than from the number of kilometres travelled. It is advisable to replace them after around six years, even if the tread is still in good condition; for trailers approved for 100 km/h, this is mandatory. The date of manufacture is shown as a DOT number on the sidewall: 3223 means the 32nd calendar week of 2023.
Load capacity (Load Index, LI): The number before the letter indicates the load capacity per tyre. The fitted tyre must meet at least the value stated in the vehicle documents — a higher value is permitted, but a lower one is not.

Speed index: The letter following the load index indicates the maximum permitted speed. An ‘L’ is required for a 100 km/h rating.

Winter tyres: There is no requirement for winter tyres on trailers, as the wheels are not driven. An M+S or Alpine symbol is not required.
Tyre pressure: Trailer tyres require significantly higher pressure than car tyres. The correct pressure is specified in the vehicle documents or on the sticker on the trailer. Insufficient pressure is the most common cause of tyre damage.
Tread depth: the legal minimum is 1.6 mm. You can also recognise old tyres by fine cracks in the sidewall and tread base.
Replacement: Tyres and complete wheels.
