Benefits and application
This NaRubb tyre with tube is ideal for lawn mowers and similar equipment used in garden and park maintenance. The S-2101 tread pattern offers reliable traction on grass without unnecessarily damaging the turf. The 4PR construction ensures a stable carcass and high resistance to punctures in typical garden and park use.
With a load capacity of up to 150 kg (LI 42) and a maximum speed of 15 km/h (SI A3), this tyre is particularly suitable for slow-moving work machines. The TT design (tyre with tube) in combination with the JS87 angled valve makes mounting and replacement easier, especially on compact lawn mower rims.
Explanation of technical terms
- TT (Tube Type): Tyre construction in which a separate tube is fitted inside the tyre.
- PR (Ply Rating): Indicator of the load capacity class of the tyre carcass. Higher PR values stand for more robust, higher load-carrying tyres.
- LI (Load Index): Numerical code for the maximum permissible load capacity of a tyre at a specified inflation pressure. LI 42 corresponds here to 150 kg.
- SI (Speed Index): Letter code for the maximum permitted operating speed of the tyre. A3 stands for a maximum speed of 15 km/h.
- Rim size: Indicates the diameter of the rim in inches on which the tyre is mounted (here 5 inch).
- Valve type JS87: Special angled valve used in tubes for small rims, which makes inflation easier.
Frequently asked questions about this product
Age: Trailer tyres age more as a result of being left stationary than from the number of kilometres travelled. It is advisable to replace them after around six years, even if the tread is still in good condition; for trailers approved for 100 km/h, this is mandatory. The date of manufacture is shown as a DOT number on the sidewall: 3223 means the 32nd calendar week of 2023.
Load capacity (Load Index, LI): The number before the letter indicates the load capacity per tyre. The fitted tyre must meet at least the value stated in the vehicle documents — a higher value is permitted, but a lower one is not.

Speed index: The letter following the load index indicates the maximum permitted speed. An ‘L’ is required for a 100 km/h rating.

Winter tyres: There is no requirement for winter tyres on trailers, as the wheels are not driven. An M+S or Alpine symbol is not required.
Tyre pressure: Trailer tyres require significantly higher pressure than car tyres. The correct pressure is specified in the vehicle documents or on the sticker on the trailer. Insufficient pressure is the most common cause of tyre damage.
Tread depth: the legal minimum is 1.6 mm. You can also recognise old tyres by fine cracks in the sidewall and tread base.
Replacement: Tyres and complete wheels.
