Benefits and applications
The KINGS TIRE V-3501 has been specially developed for use on lawns. The tread pattern provides good grip, even on slightly damp ground, while helping to minimise soil compaction – ideal for well-kept gardens, sports grounds and park areas. The 4PR construction offers solid resistance to impacts and punctures, increasing the tyre’s service life in daily use.
With a maximum tyre pressure of 1.5 bar and a load capacity of 370 kg, this tyre is perfectly suited for medium-duty lawn mowers and lawn tractors. The A3 speed index (up to 15 km/h) covers typical working speeds in gardening and municipal applications. As a TL (tubeless) version, the tyre can be mounted without an inner tube, which simplifies maintenance and repairs.
Explanation of technical terms
- TL (Tubeless): Indicates tubeless tyres that are mounted directly on the rim without a separate inner tube.
- TT (Tube Type): Refers to tyres that are used with a separate inner tube (mentioned here for distinction only, this tyre is TL).
- PR (Ply Rating): Indicates the load and stability class of the carcass. 4PR stands for a reinforced yet still flexible design for typical garden applications.
- SI (Speed Index): Indicates the maximum permissible speed of the tyre. A3 corresponds to a maximum speed of 15 km/h.
- Load capacity: Maximum permissible load that a tyre may carry at the correct air pressure and approved speed.
- Rim size: Describes the rim diameter in inches on which the tyre can be mounted (here 8 inch).
Frequently asked questions about this product
Age: Trailer tyres age more as a result of being left stationary than from the number of kilometres travelled. It is advisable to replace them after around six years, even if the tread is still in good condition; for trailers approved for 100 km/h, this is mandatory. The date of manufacture is shown as a DOT number on the sidewall: 3223 means the 32nd calendar week of 2023.
Load capacity (Load Index, LI): The number before the letter indicates the load capacity per tyre. The fitted tyre must meet at least the value stated in the vehicle documents — a higher value is permitted, but a lower one is not.

Winter tyres: There is no requirement for winter tyres on trailers, as the wheels are not driven. An M+S or Alpine symbol is not required.
Tyre pressure: Trailer tyres require significantly higher pressure than car tyres. The correct pressure is specified in the vehicle documents or on the sticker on the trailer. Insufficient pressure is the most common cause of tyre damage.
Tread depth: the legal minimum is 1.6 mm. You can also recognise old tyres by fine cracks in the sidewall and tread base.
Replacement: Tyres and complete wheels.
