Benefits and application
This KINGS TIRE tyre + tube is ideal for hay tedders that must operate reliably in daily use on meadows and fields. The 4PR carcass offers a good combination of stability and flexibility, so the tyre can both carry loads up to 225 kg and compensate for uneven ground. The maximum speed of 20 km/h is optimally matched to typical working speeds in agriculture.
The V-8502 tread pattern ensures secure ground contact and smooth running, which is beneficial when working on uneven or slightly damp surfaces. Thanks to the TT design (with tube), the tyre is particularly service-friendly: tube changes and repairs can be carried out quickly and cost-effectively. The TR13 valve is a common standard and allows easy inflation with air.
Explanation of technical terms
- TT (Tube Type): Tyre design with a separate tube inside the tyre. Air tightness is ensured by the tube.
- PR (Ply Rating): Ply Rating indicates the load capacity class of the carcass. 4PR stands for a reinforced version compared with simple 2PR tyres.
- Rim size: Refers to the rim diameter on which the tyre is mounted (here 8 inch).
- Load capacity (kg): Maximum load that a tyre can safely carry at the correct air pressure.
- Max. speed (km/h): Highest permissible speed at which the tyre may be used in its intended application.
- Valve type TR13: Commonly used rubber valve for tube-type tyres, suitable for many standard rims in the agricultural and gardening sector.
Frequently asked questions about this product
Age: Trailer tyres age more as a result of being left stationary than from the number of kilometres travelled. It is advisable to replace them after around six years, even if the tread is still in good condition; for trailers approved for 100 km/h, this is mandatory. The date of manufacture is shown as a DOT number on the sidewall: 3223 means the 32nd calendar week of 2023.
Load capacity (Load Index, LI): The number before the letter indicates the load capacity per tyre. The fitted tyre must meet at least the value stated in the vehicle documents — a higher value is permitted, but a lower one is not.

Speed index: The letter following the load index indicates the maximum permitted speed. An ‘L’ is required for a 100 km/h rating.

| J | 100 | M | 130 | Q | 160 |

Winter tyres: There is no requirement for winter tyres on trailers, as the wheels are not driven. An M+S or Alpine symbol is not required.
Tyre pressure: Trailer tyres require significantly higher pressure than car tyres. The correct pressure is specified in the vehicle documents or on the sticker on the trailer. Insufficient pressure is the most common cause of tyre damage.
Tread depth: the legal minimum is 1.6 mm. You can also recognise old tyres by fine cracks in the sidewall and tread base.
Replacement: Tyres and complete wheels.
