Adapter Extension 540mm 19mm for Trailer Drop Leg Support Foot
Product.Nr.: 990012791
- Adapter extension for trailer drop-leg supports
- 540 mm length for greater reach and more flexible support
- 19 mm connection size - fits common support/crank receivers
- Ideal for levelling, stabilising and supporting during stationary use
This adapter extension serves as a practical add-on for a drop-leg support (also known as a stabiliser or crank support). It creates additional distance between the support and the contact point, making it easier to support trailers, e.g. during loading and unloading, when using loading ramps, or when parking on uneven ground. Thanks to the extended design, the support can be positioned and operated more conveniently in many situations.
The 19 mm size refers to the connection/receiver diameter and is a commonly used dimension in trailer support systems. This allows the extension to be integrated into existing setups when exactly this connection size is required.

Frequently asked questions about this product
Three factors are key:
- Tube diameter — measured on the support wheel’s tube, not on the bracket. Common sizes are 35, 48 and 60 mm. It’s best to check with a calliper: a 48 mm support wheel won’t fit into a 60 mm bracket.
- Load capacity — this must match your trailer’s tongue load. A support wheel that is not strong enough will bend or become impossible to crank under load.
- Design — automatic jockey wheels fold in automatically when the trailer is coupled; basic models are cranked up by hand and locked into place.
Go straight to the right size: 48 mm jockey wheels, 60 mm jockey wheels or the full overview.
Common mistakes: ordering the wrong tube diameter; failing to crank the jockey wheel fully up or lock it in place before setting off; the clamp being too loose. A jockey wheel that spins freely can quickly cause damage on the motorway.
When it’s worth replacing: a worn-out wheel, a stiff crank, or a worn-out spindle. In most cases, a complete training wheel is cheaper than buying the parts separately.
